“If you could choose any song for the Fountains of Bellagio to dance to what would it be?”. This was a recent post I saw from Bellagio (the hotel in Las Vegas) Facebook page a few days ago. This post got me thinking about what song I would want to play at the Fountains of Bellagio.
I’ve always been fond of the famous Fountains of Bellagio and like most of their songs. My all-time favorite is “Time to Say Goodbye” (Con te partirò) by Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli. If they could play the song continuously I know I would stand by the fountain and listen to it all night long. But, fortunately for me, they always alternate the songs.
After some thought, I knew what song I would want to see the Fountains of Bellagio to dance to. It would be Jonny Mathis’ “Wonderful! Wonderful!”. The first time I heard this song was from the Desperate Housewives’ final episode. I think the song is absolutely lovely. The lyrics are simple but describe love perfectly. Being with the person you love (who also loves you) is such a wonderful thing. And when you love someone it’s an unspoken feeling from your heart.
I thought “Wonderful! Wonderful!” was the perfect choice for the ending of the Desperate Housewives show. And I really like “Wonderful! Wonderful!” song. I can image how great it would be to watch the Fountains of Bellagio to dance to this song.
Having the Fountains of Bellagio play the song you want (other than what they are playing) is doable, but it will cost you $2,000. It’s a service available to the “M Life” Pearl members. “M Life” is a player’s program by MGM Resorts at Las Vegas. Anyone can sign up for a “M Life” card (starting with the Sapphire level for free) and advance to higher tiers based on the annual spending at the MGM Resorts. The spending could be anything from hotel stays, restaurant dinning, to gambling in the casinos. To advance to the Pearl level, you only need to spend $1,000 (equivalent to 25,000 tier credits) at any of the MGM Resorts in a given year.
It would be a memorable experience to see the Fountains of Bellagio plays “Wonderful! Wonderful!”, but I am not sure if I want to spend $2,000 on a song. However, I think the $2,000 service would totally be worth it for someone to propose to their significant other. It would be very romantic. Next time you want to celebrate something special, would you consider playing your favorite song at the Fountains of Bellagio?
